Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai and Sanrio Characters to Collaborate on New Products

Hello Kitty x MYAKU-MYAKU x Sachiko Nakajima appeared at the launch event!

On Friday, July 12, 2024, an event was held at the Daimaru Umeda Store adjacent to JR Osaka Station to commemorate the launch of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai and Sanrio character collaboration products.
The event featured Hello Kitty, a special supporter of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, MYAKU-MYAKU, the official character, and Sachiko Nakajima, a musician and mathematics researcher who is producing the theme pavilion.

The collaboration products released this time were lined up in a row, and each of the recommended goods were introduced. First, MYAKU-MYAKU chose a clear file with a design of Sanrio Characters and MYAKU-MYAKU! With a Japanese-inspired cherry blossom and Osaka’s gourmet food also depicted, this is a product you will want one of anyway.

Next, Hello Kitty chose an acrylic key chain with a design of Hello Kitty and MYAKU-MYAKU. Although Hello Kitty looks small when held in the hand, it is actually quite large in size and has a strong presence.

Sachiko Nakajima wore a T-shirt under her jacket! It suits her very well♪
It has Sanrio Characters and MYAKU-MYAKU on the chest and a big MYAKU-MYAKU on the back.

“What? Mr. Nakajima was wearing a T-shirt!” Hello Kitty and MYAKU-MYAKU were both surprised!

The pavilion “Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion,” produced by Sachiko Nakajima under the theme of “enhancing life,” has playground equipment that stimulates the five senses, and hosts live performances and workshops. I would love to visit there!

A large number of fans rushed to the site as soon as it opened.

Now, on the day of sales, Friday, July 12. As soon as the official store for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai on the 5th floor of the Daimaru Umeda Store opened at 10:00 a.m., a large number of Sanrio fans rushed to the store and formed a huge queue. Everyone had already decided in advance what they wanted, and they picked up the goods one after another without hesitation.

Many people were wearing Sanrio goods and clothes, and I could feel the enthusiasm of the guessers! So much so that the Sanrio x Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai collaboration products were eagerly awaited.
There were also some very cute parents and children dressed in Sanrio coords! They came from Shiga Prefecture for the collaboration goods, and their 6-year-old child’s favorite characters are Dear Daniel and Cinnamoroll. They purchased stickers and notepads.

The cuteness of the Sanrio and MYAKU-MYAKU collaboration products made the author purchase a variety of them (LOL), and just looking at them makes me feel happy ♡.

 

The second collaboration product will be released in the fall! How about a souvenir?
