A New Spot Perfect for Breakfast, Lunch, and Coffee has Opened Near Osaka Castle! “SAKImoto bakery and more Osaka Business Park Store”
Category: Food&Drink

Hello, I’m Rina, a writer for Kodawari Times.
The Kansai region—centered around Kyoto, Kobe, and Osaka—is a highly competitive market with high bread consumption and a concentration of some of the nation’s top bakeries. Bread is so deeply ingrained in daily life here that the phrase “Ashita no Pan (means tomorrow’s bread)” is used regularly, reflecting its status as an indispensable part of the daily meal.
In Osaka—an area where people have a deep love for bread—a new bakery called “SAKImoto bakery and more” has opened to much attention. Kodawari Times visited during the pre-opening, so we’d like to introduce some of their recommended breads and café menu items.
A New Concept from Osaka’s Popular SAKImoto Bakery
SAKImoto Bakery is one of Osaka’s most famous bakeries. As the specialty shop that sparked the premium white bread boom, its “SAKImoto Bakery Osaka First Main Store” in Namba is extremely popular with foreign tourists.
This time, we’re introducing “SAKImoto bakery and more,” Sakimoto Bakery’s new concept store based on the “Bakery × Sweets” theme. Its second location, “SAKImoto bakery and more Osaka Business Park Store,” opened on Friday, July 10, 2026, on the first floor of the Matsushita IMP Building in Chuo Ward, Osaka City.
Osaka Business Park is an office district that’s also adjacent to Osaka Castle Park, offering easy access to Osaka Castle and convenient for tourists thanks to the nearby hotels.

We stopped by at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, for the soft opening, and there was already a line of office workers on their lunch break. As expected, Osaka really takes notice when a new bakery opens. Even the staff at Sakimoto Bakery were surprised by the turnout, which exceeded their expectations.
The store has a stylish, glass-walled atmosphere, and the aroma of fresh bread draws you in before you even realize it. The breads lined up on the shelves are as beautiful as jewels. There’s also a café area at the back of the store where you can enjoy your meal.

Recommended Menu Items for Breakfast and Lunch
So, I’m sure you’re curious about the bread menu. From here on, I’ll be introducing our recommended breads and dine-in options.
Gokubi Natural Toast Breakfast Plate

The SAKImoto Bakery and More Osaka Business Park location opens at 8:00 a.m., so it’s a great place to have breakfast.
The Morning Plate is a single-plate meal featuring egg- and dairy-free white bread, strawberry jam, salad, and bacon and eggs. The bread is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside—it’s absolutely delicious. Its natural flavor pairs perfectly with the strawberry jam and bacon and eggs.
For my drink, I ordered iced coffee. They take their coffee seriously here, and you can enjoy SAKImoto’s original blend. It has a deep, rich body and pairs perfectly with the bread.
Gokubi French Toast

This Gokubi French toast is perfect not only for breakfast but also for coffee breaks. It comes in two varieties: one topped simply with whipped cream and syrup, and another topped with strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries.
We ordered the “Gokubi French Toast with Strawberries.” It’s generously topped with chunky strawberries. Since it’s made with egg- and dairy-free bread, it wasn’t too heavy, allowing us to fully enjoy the strawberry flavor. It’s very juicy, so we highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.
Steamed Vegetable Plate

The in-store-only lunch menu features the “Colorful Vegetable Steamer Plate.”
This dish is available in three varieties: “Hamburger Steak with Tomato Sauce,” “Sawara with Shiso Sauce,” and “Chicken with Japanese-Style Onion Sauce.” It’s a healthy plate lunch that lets you enjoy a main dish, steamed vegetables, and two types of bread. The fluffy, warm bread is exclusive to our restaurants, so be sure to stop by for lunch.
Sweet Danish Pastry

This is a limited-edition sweet Danish from SAKImoto bakery and more. True to the bakery-meets-dessert concept, it’s a sweet bread generously filled with seasonal fruits.
Currently, it’s topped with early-summer white peaches and mangoes. The harmony of juicy fruit, smooth custard cream, and crispy Danish pastry makes this a truly exceptional treat.
Enjoy your favorite bread here
You can choose your favorite breads from the store and eat them right there. They’ll serve them to you arranged on a cutting board like this.

We chose the “Honey Croissant,” “Italian Pizza with Tomatoes and Basil,” and “Milk Cream and Walnuts.”
The Honey Croissant is a signature item at SAKImoto bakery and more. It’s a milky croissant made with only milk (no water) that’s dipped in a mixture of melted honey and butter and caramelized. The surface is even crispier than a regular croissant, and the sweetness fills your mouth.
The “Italian Pizza” strikes a perfect balance between a chewy texture and the tartness of fresh tomatoes, with basil adding a nice accent. It’s highly recommended as a savory bread.
The “Milk Cream and Walnuts” features a fresh French dough filled with lightly sweetened condensed milk, and the texture and flavor of the walnuts add a delicious touch.
Each of these breads has its own unique character, so feel free to choose your favorites—whether you’d like to enjoy them here or take them home. Please enjoy them however you like.
Baked goods and jams that make perfect souvenirs
In addition to bread, we also sell baked sweets and jams to pair with our sliced bread.
The selection includes cute and delicious-looking treats like financiers and madeleines. We’re particular about our ingredients, using Hokkaido milk, Hokkaido butter, honey, and more.

“Sakimoto’s Jam,” which pairs perfectly with sliced bread, is also very popular. It comes in a wide variety of flavors, including strawberry, milk butter, pistachio, Earl Grey, and blueberry.
The strawberry jam that came with the breakfast plate was from this line. It had a nice tartness and wasn’t too sweet—it was really delicious.
Since baked goods and jams have a long shelf life, they’re also great as souvenirs.

The SAKImoto Coffee Original Blend, which is served in the store, was also available for purchase. They also offer drip-pack coffee for convenient enjoyment, so if you like the coffee, this makes a perfect souvenir.
