【Taipei Touch the Japan Special】Report on the PR of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai to everyone in Taiwan

The Taipei Touch the Japan Special was held in Taiwan from July 12 (Fri.) to 15 (Mon.), 2024. We promoted the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan to Taiwanese people who have a high interest in Japan!

The recognition of the Expo in Taiwan is quite high!

Japan and Taiwan are only about 3.5 to 4 hours apart by air. Both countries are very close to each other, and many tourists come and go between the two countries every year.
The 2024 Taipei Touch the Japan Special was held in Taiwan. There is no choice but not to promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai here!

As you can see, MYAKU-MYAKU is also very enthusiastic (laugh).

At the exhibition booth, we had panels about the Expo, flyers in Chinese, video clips, Myakmyak greetings, and novelty giveaways for those who posted on SNS. Our staff members did their best to promote the Expo as well as MYAKU-MYAKU, and we were often impressed by the high level of awareness of the Expo. As one would expect from Taiwan!
However, there were many people who did not know how to buy admission tickets and other detailed information, so we must continue to do our best to promote the Expo! I renewed my determination to continue to promote the Expo.

What attracted the visitors’ attention was… MYAKU-MYAKU, after all!

Various Expo promotions were held at the venue, but it was MYAKU-MYAKU that caught the attention of visitors!
When he took the stage on the main stage, he received thunderous applause, and as he made his rounds of the venue, crowds of people gathered to take commemorative photos of him. MYAKU-MYAKU is indeed a great performer!

This year’s event also featured a collaboration with “Xiong Zan Bravo,” the official character of Taipei City Hall, and “Muzumuzu-kun,” the official character of Imizu City in Toyama Prefecture. The two also performed a Bon dance to the official Expo song.

Also appeared in Taiwanese media! Expect to spread to Greater China

The group also took commemorative photos at Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and the Presidential Palace, which are representative of Taiwan’s famous landmarks.

These photos were sent out on the official website and SNS, and were also provided to Taiwanese media. Many people in Hong Kong and other parts of China also watch Taiwanese tourism news, so we were sure that we were able to promote Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan not only to visitors but also to a large audience. We were also able to sell Expo tickets to Taiwanese travel agents, and it was a very meaningful participation in the event.
