Do you all know about “Milk Manju: Tsukigesho,” a classic Osaka souvenir, and “animate,” the specialty store for anime, manga, and games?

Milk Manju Tsukigesho × animate

animate Co., Ltd., a specialty retailer of anime, manga, and game merchandise, will begin an early release of “Milk Manju Tsukigesho × animate” at Animate Umeda starting April 24.

“Milk Manju Tsukigesho” is a wildly popular Japanese-Western style confectionery released in 2010 by Aoki shofuan Co.,Ltd. in Hannan City, Osaka Prefecture. True to its tagline, “An Osaka souvenir that sells one every 1.5 seconds,” it’s famous as a staple souvenir from Osaka.
These manju feature a smooth texture packed with butter and milk—they’re so delicious you could eat them by the dozen!

To celebrate the first anniversary of animate Umeda’s grand opening, Tsukigesho and animate have teamed up for a miraculous collaboration!
The new “Milk Manju Tsukigesho × animate” product features limited-edition packaging! The special design depicts Tsukigesho’s official characters, Tsukiro-kun and Mirumo-chan, along with animate’s promotional character, anime Tencho, in a manzai-style illustration. The three of them performing manzai are absolutely adorable!
This limited-edition Tsukigesho × animate collaboration packaging is available for a limited time only. How about picking some up as a souvenir from Japan?

As part of our Umeda Store 1st Anniversary celebration, we decided that if we were to create an Animate-original snack, it had to be “Tsukigesho,” a classic Osaka souvenir! That’s why we reached out to Aoki shofuan. To ensure our customers enjoy this collaboration, we’ve designed the packaging to feature an original combination of Tsukigesho’s official characters, “Tsukiro-kun” and “Mirumo-chan,” alongside Animate’s promotional character, “Anime Tencho.” We hope you’ll all enjoy these treats for years to come.
