The International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama, Japan
The International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama, Japan, will be held from Friday, March 19, 2027, to Sunday, September 26, 2027. This will be Japan’s second A1-class “International Horticultural Exposition” since the “International Flower and Greenery Exposition” held in Osaka in 1990.
The official abbreviation for the International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama, Japan is “GREEN×EXPO 2027”. Remember it, everyone!
The International Horticultural Exposition is an expo themed around “Flowers, Greenery, and Coexistence with Nature,” showcasing horticulture, greening initiatives, and proposals for sustainable lifestyles.
The venue is the former Kamiseya Communications Facility in Yokohama City. It’s a vast area of approximately 242 hectares returned by the U.S. military in 2015, with about 100 hectares designated as the exposition grounds.
Various companies and organizations are scheduled to exhibit, so it’ll be exciting to see how the venue takes shape!
GREEN×EXPO 2027 Official Licensed Goods Now Available
Tuesday, November 4, 2025, marked 500 days until the opening of the International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama, Japan. The “GREEN×EXPO 2027 Official Licensed Goods” line, launched in March 2025, has been releasing new products one after another starting November 4.
Just as the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan had its official mascot character, MYAKU-MYAKU, the Yokohama Green Expo also has its own adorable official character. Its name is “Tunku Tunku.”
They say this curious little spirit came all the way from far beyond the cosmos, drawn to Earth by its allure!
The heart-shaped character bursting out of this flower- and greenery-filled planet looks kinda like a snow globe—so cute!

Collaboration with MYAKU-MYAKU
Collaboration products featuring “MYAKU-MYAKU,” the wildly popular official character from Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, have also been announced.
Starting Tuesday, November 4th, the officially licensed product “MYAKU-MYAKU Tunku Tunku Yokohama Harbour Double Marron” for the 2025 Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and GREEN×EXPO 2027 goes on sale. Yokohama Harbour is a long-beloved Yokohama souvenir confectionery.
