Bring home some Japanese stationery as souvenirs! “KOKUYODOORS” at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport

Hello! I’m Hakoboya, the Souvenir Promotion Captain for Kodawari Times.╭(·ᴗ·)╮╰(·ᴗ·)╯
Stationery has been gaining attention in recent years as a popular Japanese souvenir. Its high functionality and wide variety of designs are what make it so popular.
Did you know that KOKUYO, a leading Japanese stationery manufacturer, has a flagship store at Haneda Airport?
Let me introduce some stationery items that make perfect Japanese souvenirs!
What is KOKUYODOORS?
Founded in 1905, KOKUYO is a Japanese stationery manufacturer. It’s best known as the brand behind “Campus Note,” a notebook widely used by students in Japan!

KOKUYO operates two company-owned stores in Japan, one of which is “KOKUYODOORS.” Located on the second floor of Haneda Airport Garden—the gateway to the skies of Japan—it’s a shop dedicated to showcasing the appeal of Japanese stationery to the world. It’s a popular destination that attracts visitors from over 50 countries.
The Appeal of KOKUYODOORS
The name “KOKUYODOORS” embodies our desire to serve as a “door” that sparks foreign tourists’ interest in Japanese stationery.
The store features a well-stocked “Touch & Try” corner where you can experience the unique functionality and feel of Japanese stationery. For example, you can actually try out the “KOKUYO WP” writing instruments, which offer an amazing writing experience, and the “2-Way Scissors ,” which combine a box-opening cutter mode with scissors.

Also, at “BUNGUSTAND”—Japan’s first IoT stationery vending machine—you can purchase Secret Sets and discover new stationery items.
The reason for its popularity is the experiential content that transcends language barriers and intuitively sparks curiosity.
You can see, touch, try, and buy Japanese stationery. It’s a new, experiential shop that delivers excitement!
Relaunched as a shop with a global reach
In October 2025, KOKUYO celebrated its 120th anniversary and adopted “Curiosity for Life” as its corporate message, revamping its corporate identity, including its logo. To coincide with this, “KOKUYODOORS,” which is celebrating its third anniversary, also updated its symbol mark and the design of its exterior and interior.

Even in Japan, the land of vending machines, I’ve never seen a stationery vending machine before! The best thing about secret sets is that they give you that same sense of excitement as a gachapon—you never know what you’ll get until you open it.
If you’re not sure which stationery to buy, I recommend starting by trying one from a vending machine.
Why not bring back some Japanese stationery as souvenirs?
Compact stationery items like ballpoint pens, notepads, and clear file folders make perfect souvenirs from Japan! At KOKUYODOORS, you’ll find a wide selection of unique Japanese stationery.
Since we’re directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station, be sure to stop by if you’re looking for souvenirs at the airport!
