Do you know the fireworks called Senko hanabi?
Senko hanabi is a type of Japanese handheld fireworks. It is the Japanese sparkler.
Senko hanabi was born more than 200 years ago.
Unlike ordinary fireworks, these fireworks are popular for their quiet, small, yet beautiful ignition.
Senko hanabi burns in different stages depending on the change in temperature.
At first, a round ball is formed, just like a flower bud.Next, sparks fly in all directions, like petals.
Eventually, the momentum of the spark wanes and the spark becomes droopy.
Finally, the fireball disappears and falls down with a plop.
It’s fun to see the fireworks burning purely, but I’m also looking forward to playing with my friends “who can keep burning the fireworks for the longest time”.
This is Senko hanabi before lighting it on fire.
Come to think of it, I do a lot less fireworks. There are only a limited number of places where you can do hand-held fireworks.
I’ll try Senko Hanabi again next time!
If you all come to Japan, I would like to play a game to see who can play Senko Hanabi the longest.
