Perfect for baby showers! Japanese baby and toddler brand “Monpoké” The Spring/Summer 2026 collection is here

Hello, I’m Rina, a writer for Kodawari Times. Pokémon is a Japanese video game character with fans all over the world. While a wide variety of Pokémon merchandise is available, did you know there’s a brand specifically designed for babies and kids?
I’d like to introduce “Monpoké,” which is perfect not only as a souvenir from Japan but also as a baby shower gift or present for any occasion.

 

What is Monpoké?

This is the official Pokémon baby brand, launched in 2019.
The brand’s theme is “Let’s collect all those ‘firsts.’” It embodies the hope that children will accumulate many “first” experiences and grow into well-rounded individuals, and that parents will cherish and collect as many of their children’s irreplaceable, once-in-a-lifetime “firsts” as possible.

I’m a mom raising a 3-year-old boy, and I’m a big fan of the Monpoké series. My son gets so excited, shouting “Pokémon! Pokémon!” all the time.

Monpoké-designed storage items

Nishiki Kasei, a baby and children’s goods manufacturer based in Aichi Prefecture, has launched a new line of storage items featuring the Monpoké design! These practical and convenient storage items include a toy box with casters that can hold plenty of favorite toys, and a baby wipe case characterized by its round shape. (Scheduled to go on sale sequentially starting in mid-March 2026)

With the Monpoké design, kids will surely enjoy tidying up together!

The Towel Museum in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture—one of Japan’s largest towel-producing regions—is introducing a new line of towel products designed for both parents and children. These fluffy, soft-to-the-touch towels are gentle on a baby’s skin and make an excellent baby shower gift. (Scheduled for release in April 2026)

Combi, a leading Japanese baby products manufacturer, has released new Monpoké designs for its “Rakumagu” series of baby sippy cups!

I used the Combi Rakumagu myself, and I loved how it was designed to prevent leaks and how easy it was to clean because it had so few parts! I also liked its rounded, chubby design, which made it easy for my child to hold and drink from.
The stainless steel mug has a vacuum-insulated structure that keeps drinks cold, making it perfect for staying hydrated on hot summer days.
